Denise Rhona Robain, 55, was called to be with the Lord on Monday, September 4, 2017. Denise was born in Maracas Valley, Trinidad on Wednesday, February 7, 1962, the one and only daughter to Leo and Ann Marie Robain. She attended Hillcrest High School in Queens, New York and graduated in 1980. On Sunday, August 26, 1990, Denise gave birth to her pride and joy Alexis 'Lexi' Fontaine. Denise was driven to further her education by earning her associates and bachelors degrees in psychology from the University of Phoenix and Capella University respectively by 2014. She also began to pursue her masters degree so she could continue to study the human mind and behavior to further assist those around her. Denise was self-employed as a childcare provider for more than ten years of her life. She truly enjoyed cooking, volunteering, shopping, traveling, and spending time with those she loved. Denise touched everyone she encountered through inspirational messages, random phone calls, and by simply sharing her wonderful smile. She was a kind and gentle soul acting as the neighborhood mom, always giving to others, and cherishing the many children she cared for that referred to her as Aunt Denise. She always enjoyed entertaining at her many events, bringing family and friends together while assuring everyone was uplifted and well fed. Denise is preceded in death by her beloved father, Leo Robain 1999, and her sister, Ann Marie Madoo 1998. Denise is survived by her mother, Ann Marie Robain, daughter, Alexis Fontaine, and brothers (wives) Derek (Marlene), Desmond (Sandra), Donald (Vinnette), and Darren Robain. Denise also leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her nieces Candiss, Deanna, Diondra, Stacia, Kayla, great niece Natalia, nephews Deshawn and Vincent Robain as well as her god children Bam, Charissa, and Sasha. May the joy and peace that Denise brought to your heart be passed on through you to others. Through this, her legacy may live on forever.
